Open Letter to Prince Ikechukwu Osuji, Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N Osuji and Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele

We, the concerned citizens of Obi Mbieri autonomous community, hereby write to Prince Ikechukwu Osuji, Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N. Osuji and Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele to inform them of our decision to visit Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N. Osuji anywhere in the world where he is currently geolocated. 

This decision and intention are also in line with the call and announcement of the Ohohia diaspora, published on June 22, 2026, on the Obi Mbieri Independent Media platform, to visit the Obi Mbieri Traditional Ruler anywhere he is currently geo-located. That call was not honoured till today. We live in the 21st century. The world is interconnected. Distance is no longer a barrier. Someone can be in Owerri this morning, and tomorrow night, that same person is in Newyork, USA. We live in a world where people geo-located in different time zones can have live meetings in real time. We live in a century where a letter's content (text and video included) is delivered in microseconds. Also, we live in a 21st century where information can be verified in seconds and minutes and no longer months and years. 

Today's technology has made all these possible. 

Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N Osuji is not only the father of Prince Ikechukwu Osuji. Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N. Osuji is also the father of all the citizens of Obi Mbieri. Every son and daughter of Obi Mbieri deserves and has the legal and customary right to ask about the whereabouts of their father and to visit him anywhere he is geo-located. This is a show of responsibility and duty. This show of responsibility and duty is necessary because we, the concerned citizens of Obi Mbieri, no longer have confidence in the information coming from Prince Ikechukwu Osuji through his group regarding Eze Dr. (Elder) J. N. Osuji. We are hereby exercising our customary and legal right. 

We would also like to request clarification about the information posted on the Obi Mbieri Leaders of Thought WhatsApp group that says. “ In the case of Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community, the Imo State government through the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele, has repeatedly confirmed that HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji (Ezeukwu 1 of Obi Mbieri) did notify the Imo State government and also got approval from the state government before embarking on the extended medical vacation”

First. The concerned citizens of Obi Mbieri hereby request a copy of that approval. That approval document is the property of the Obi Mbieri people, and it should be made public to the entire people of Obi Mbieri within the next 7 days from the date of this publication. 

Second. The claim that the state government approved an extended medical vacation for HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji (Ezeukwu 1 of Obi Mbieri) cannot be made by word of mouth alone. Obi Mbieri people need proof. This claim directly implicates Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele, and we hereby call on her to send a copy of this approval letter to Obi Mbieri Independent Media Ltd for publication within the next 7 days from the date of this publication. 

Using this open medium, we, the concerned citizens of the Obi Mbieri people, hereby officially make the following 3-point request agenda:

1. Prince Ikechukwu Osuji, provide us with information on where and the schedule to visit HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji, wherever he is currently geolocated. You can reach the concerned citizen of the Obi Mbieri people through Obi Mbieri Independent Media Ltd. Contact details are as specified below.
2. Prince Ikechukwu Osuji, provide us with written proof that HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji received approval to travel abroad for an extended medical vacation, which has now lasted over 6 years.
3. Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele should provide us with evidence of her alleged claim that HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji got approval for an extended medical vacation abroad for over 6 years now. 

The members of the concerned people of Obi Mbieri making the trip have the travel documents and funds to make this trip on the shortest possible notice, so we are not asking for any travel assistance. We are only doing this to solve this problem in Obi Mbieri that has been lingering for over 6 years now and provide independent clarity and truth to the entire people of Obi Mbieri. 

We need answers to the above 3 points on the request agenda within 7 days from the date of this publication.

We will not hesitate to take this matter to the Apex Authority in Imo State if these 3 points on the request agenda are not met within 7 days from the date of this publication. 

Anyone or group thinking that they can spin the narrative under the carpet should have a rethink. Also, we want to make it very clear to Prince Ikechukwu Osuji that we will not succumb to intimidation tactics, blackmail, or threats of any kind from anybody or group or using any group or persons, as that will never yield any fruit. Anyone thinking in this direction is actually making a very grave mistake, and such a person or persons is blindfolded. We are law-abiding and concerned citizens of Obi Mbieri, and we have every right, both customary, legal and moral, to demand the whereabouts of HRH Eze (Dr) Josiah Nzeremibe Osuji and to visit him anywhere he is geo-located.
