I am overwhelmed by the massive turnout of the people of Obi Mbieri today. It is clear that the community yearns for peace, unity, and progress.
I commend Presidents-General Chief Oscar Okorie, Chief Donald Uzoaru, Hon. Chamberlain Nwaozuzu and all the leaders, women, and youths for coming out in large numbers to show their solidarity for peace. As the Chief Security Officer of Mbaitoli LGA, I assure you that I am committed to handling the Obi Mbieri situation with fairness and inclusiveness. I urge everyone to reject violence and embrace love. Anyone claiming to ferment discord in the name of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs is an enemy of Gov. Hope Uzodinma’s government.
I thank stakeholders like Hon. E.C. Nwadi, Rt. Hon. Collins Ogwuruike, Hon. Nkeiruka Livinus, and Chief Basil Agunwoke for appreciating my efforts in unifying Obi Mbieri. I have taken steps to ensure peace returns to Obi Mbieri, and today we have inaugurated a Caretaker Committee headed by Mr. Clement Ohanyerenwa.
I charge them to work diligently for the people and uphold the constitution of Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community. The absence of one PG who is allegedly working against peace efforts is disappointing. I urge him to reconsider and join the peace process.
The people of Obi Mbieri deserve stability, and we would not let a few disrupt progress. Let’s keep working together for a better Obi Mbieri.
I encourage everyone to participate in the APC e-registration exercise – it’s a way to show appreciation for the efforts we are making to restore unity. Together, we will achieve greatness for Mbaitoli!
Think Mbaitoli First!
Hon. Ifunanya Lactus NwanegwoExecutive Chairman, Mbaitoli LGA.
