The Traditional Prime Minister of Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community, Chief Prof. Kyrian Ndikom, has issued a message to residents and stakeholders of the community following recent developments concerning the suspension of proposed Town Union election.
In a letter addressed to the people of Obi Mbieri, the Traditional Prime Minister confirmed that he has received the official communication from the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo State, dated 6 March 2026, regarding the suspension of the proposed Town Union election.

Prof. Ndikom called on all citizens of Obi Mbieri to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding as the community awaits further directives from the appropriate government authorities.
He emphasized that this period requires patience, unity, and respect for the rule of law, noting that maintaining mutual understanding among community members is essential while the matter continues to receive attention from the relevant authorities.
The Traditional Prime Minister further encouraged residents to continue upholding the long-standing values of peace and cooperation that have guided the development of Obi Mbieri, stressing that collective calm and responsible conduct will help ensure a constructive resolution to the situation.
