As the tension in Obi Mbieri is calming down, we are slowly realising that the interest of Obi Mbieri supersedes any personal or individual interest. We have also realised that Obi Mbieri people are one people. We have also realised that we should choose and advocate for peace instead of war. We should choose unity instead of factions. We should speak with one voice instead of an opinion cult. Also we have realised that united we stand and divided we fall. We have also realised that any decision making and representation by our leaders should be for the sole interest of all Obi Mbieri people irrespective of gender, age, background, class, family ties, opinion and faith etc.
Following the recent crisis, the establishment of the new committee Headed by Mr. Clement Ohanyerenwa marks a critical turning point. Its role will be central in restoring stability, rebuilding trust, and laying the foundation for long-term resilience. The tasks ahead are substantial and require clarity of purpose, coordination, and accountability.
The committee’s first priority is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the crisis, including its root causes, immediate consequences, and long-term implications. This review should be evidence-based, inclusive of stakeholder perspectives, and transparent in its findings to ensure informed decision-making going forward.
It is also vital that continuity of essential operations is maintained. The committee must identify urgent gaps, mitigate ongoing risks, and put interim measures in place to prevent further disruption. Clear communication during this phase will be critical to maintain confidence and prevent misinformation.
Trust and honesty is the foundation for security, stability and growth. So rebuilding trust both internally and externally will be a defining task. Roles and responsibilities should be clarified. The committee should strengthen oversight mechanisms and demonstrate accountability through measurable actions rather than statements alone.
There should be policy review and structural reform. This is very important because the crisis has likely exposed weaknesses in existing policies, systems, or governance structures. The committee should review these frameworks critically and recommend reforms that address systemic issues, not just surface – level symptoms
Meaningful engagement with stakeholders is essential for legitimacy and effectiveness. The committee must establish open channels for dialogue, listen to concerns, and ensure that affected groups are informed and involved in the recovery process.
The committee should not just focus on recovery alone, they should also focus on going forward and on resilience. This includes developing a forward-looking strategy that strengthens preparedness, improves risk management, and embeds lessons learned to reduce the likelihood and impact of future crises
In conclusion, clear monitoring, evaluation, reporting and communication channels and strategies must be defined and established. The committee should set clear benchmarks and timelines for progress. Regular monitoring, evaluation, and public reporting will help ensure momentum, transparency, and sustained confidence in the recovery process and hence create lasting structural resilience in the Obi Mbieri leadership and Obi Mbieri people.
